Sprint fun in the Sun! 2025 EXGB Sprint Cup and Revvi on the Rock Cup

The Sun shone, the racers raced, and the families had a great weekend on the Dorset coast as EXGB headed to Grove Farm on Portland for the 2025 staging of the EXGB Sprint Cup and the Revvi on the Rock Cup.

With a massive entry of over 140 riders, a lot of classes had to have qualifying heats and finals, which made for some epic on-track action throughout.

The littlest racers in the Revvi 12″ 3 years of age class put on a fine show, and it was Theo Shears who would stand on the top step of the podium with blistering speed and two victories in the finals. William Jago also had great speed for second overall, ahead of the hard-charging Boston Cleft in third, who had to fight his way through the pack on a number of occasions. Albie Clark impressed with fourth overall, AJ Garwood kept it pinned for fifth, while Ovie Roy Tasker had a superb first meeting ever in sixth.

Moving up an age group to the Revvi 12″ 4-5 years of age class, and there was plenty of drama. Casey Fuller with three race wins under his belt to take the overall, with some great riding, with the consistent Archer Safe finishing an awesome second, just edging out Blake Ford, who won three races on his way to a fantastic third overall. Clay Archer O’Sullivan was full gas for fourth, Maximus Furzer powered to fifth, and Monroe Wills had an excellent weekend for sixth.

The Revvi 16′ 3-4 years of age class saw Cameron Raynes in unstoppable form as he stormed to victory in both finals to win the Revvi on the Rock Cup for 2025. Theo Brooks pitched in with two epic seconds for the number two spot on the podium, where the all-action Albie Brookes joined him in third. George Milligan fought hard for a great fourth, Noah Wheawell got faster as the weekend progressed and finished fifth, while Tommy Brown took a fantastic sixth.

The stacked Revvi 16″ 5-6 class was crazy with the top seven riders being seperated by just 7 points when they were totalled up and coming out on top was the stylish Jimmy Taylor, beating Ezra Guyton who he was tied with courtesy to finishing second and ahead of Ezra in Sunday’s A Final. Ezra, as always, was on the attack, and it was these efforts that awarded him with second overall, just one point ahead of Saturday’s A Final winner, Harry Perkins, who had an eventful Sunday but didn’t give in, meaning a trip to the podium in third. Fourth place would go the way of Junior Garbutt, who put in some great rides, as did the ever-trying Teddy Williams, who bagged fifth. Sixth place went the way of Mason Phillips, who would have a day to forget on Saturday but pulled out the stops on Sunday to take the chequers in the A Final. Also well in the mix for honours was Tommy White in seventh.

There were two racers in the Revvi 16″ 7-8 years of age class, and they would swap positions on each day, but taking victory on the tie breaker would be Freddie Holmes with Pearl Hanion in second. Great racing guys!

It was all action in the rammed Revvi 18″ 6-8 years of age class, but coming away with a double victory and the cup was the immaculate Stephen James Peters. He didn’t have it easy, though, and it shows he has nerves of steel as Paisley Cleft was on his rear wheel for almost every twist and turn of each final, and she rode fantastically for her second overall. In third was Jimmy Briggs, who pitched in with some superb races over the weekend. Ronnie Sherwood fought hard for an excellent fourth, Carter Goodwill Bagan kept it pinned for fifth, and Aliyas Westwick fired in some great results for sixth.

The Open EBR up to 20″ 7-10 years of age class had only four riders in it, but don’t let that fool you into thinking this wasn’t exciting, as three of the four riders took race wins, and the other was close to one. In fact, only five points covered all four at the end of the weekend, with Jimmy Briggs edging it with three race victories under his belt. Kayden Waldock took the chequers twice and would end the weekend in second, just one point off of Jimmy and just one ahead of Ralph Leicester, who was in the mix in every race and was impressive in third. Saving the best until last was Lockie Jay Holmes, who took the chequers in the final race of the weekend for fourth overall. Awesome racing guys!

Seth Johnson added the Revvi on the Rock Cup to his stash of titles, but this one was far from easy, with Poppy Birkett and Harrison Bascombe proving to be stiff competition, both of whom took race wins off the champ. So the podium was Seth, followed by Poppy and Harrison. Hallie Huggins raced hard all weekend for fourth, and Brook Puddy would fend off Elsie Holmes for fifth with some great racing between these two. Elsie would end the weekend in sixth.

In the EXGB Sprint Cup, the first class up was the E1 powered by RFN class, which saw Alfie Brown on his RFN Warrior take five out of six race wins and showing some great grit and determination to grab the victory ahead of Ethan Rudd who notched up one race win for his superb second overall. Archer Safe on his Oset 12.5 had some excellent rides for third.

The E2 class, powered by Torrot, saw some epic battles, but it was Teddy Roberts who fought his way through on five of the six races, ultimately being crowned the 2025 E2 EXGB Sprint Cup champion. Duggie Evanglista, who snatched a race win on Saturday, had to do it the hard way and sycthe his way through the pack, but he did so in great style for second overall. Marley Jobson would look at home on the E2 machine and would finish a mighty fine third overall, ahead of Yuseff Scarlett, who was always in the mix for the big points with some great rides. Brody Scarlett recovered from a DNF on Saturday to finish an excellent fifth, Cooper Kempin rode fantastically for sixth, and Torrot racer Jenson Palmer learned a lot and took home a super seventh.

The E3 class would go down to the wire. On Saturday, Theo Hancock was the standout rider, powering to three immaculate race wins, but Sunday was a different day, and it was Jimmy Taylor who woke with a bee in his bonnet and would claim the chequers in the first race. That’s when Carter Goodwill Bagan would go into overdrive and put in some of the best rides of the weekend to take the final two race wins and claim the victory by just one point after an epic tussle in the deciding final race with Hancock. So the title would go the way of Carter ahead of Theo and Jimmy. Outstanding racing guys.

Maddox Buckley made some amazing starts and showed good pace for fourth overall, Gunnar Day would improve with every rider and took a great fifth, Reggie Herring came good for sixth, and Henry Chamley got better as the weekend progressed for seventh.

Up until the last race, there was no stopping Tommy Bridges in the Mini E class, blitzing to five straight race victories until a couple of falls in the last race of the weekend would see Junior Garbutt take the chequered flag. When it came to the overall though Tommy was well clear and would take the title in fine style ahead of all action Junior with Teddy Williams always in the mix at the sharp end in third.

Harry Perkins started the weekend with three thirds but a fall on Sunday hampered his riding, but he toughed it out and ended the Sprint Cup with a superb fourth. The fast-starting Charlie Masters rode well to claim fifth, with James Rock, another, to make some lightning starts, was an awesome sixth.

In the E5 category, Rafe Harwood was in a class of his own, and took victory in the finals on both days to take the title over the super smooth Ivy Rose Tasker in second. Stephen James Peters is really starting to get the hang of the E5, and this showed with a fantastic third overall ahead of Viktor Konarzewski in fourth, who had one of the rides of the weekend with an excellent third on Sunday. Callen Haward-Scales, who pitched in with two great rides in the finals for fifth, was one of the most improved riders, Rupert Foden, showed his potential with a great sixth.
